“The triumph can’t be had without the struggle.” – Wilma Rudolph

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my services.

I am a therapist specializing in helping women and couples who suffer from perinatal related mood and anxiety disorders.

I decided to specifically work with perinatal issues after I realized that there was a huge deficit in mental health awareness and services for women who suffer from these disorders. I use multiple techniques to best serve my clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness.

I have over a decade of experience helping families build and strengthen their relationships. My past work includes supporting diverse patients in underserved populations, including inner-city residents and the LGBTQIA community. I also have an extensive background working with fathers, specifically utilizing the latest research in human behavior to help fathers enhance their relationships with their children and increase positive communication in co-parenting efforts.

My approach to counseling is all about relationships. The major relationships in your life have a powerful influence on your overall mental health and well-being, therefore my goal is to strengthen your relationship with yourself, which will, in turn, strengthen your relationships with your spouse, your partner, your friends, your family, and your community.

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Urban Education from the State University of Albany. I am also deeply involved in my community– serving as a member of state and national professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers, National Alliance on Mental Illness and The Links, Incorporated, where she engages Bronx high school-aged girls in STEM Programming.

Everyone deserves to feel loved, accepted, content, confident and fulfilled, not only in their relationship with others but also with themselves. And anyone, no matter their life circumstances, can heal, grow and thrive.
