When I was a child, people started sharing their stories with me, hoping that I could help them. As a result, I was drawn to counseling and therapy at an early age. A passion that has lasted a lifetime.

My approach to counseling is all about relationships. The major relationships in your life have a powerful influence on your overall mental health and well-being, therefore my goal is to strengthen your relationship with yourself, which will, in turn, strengthen your relationships with your spouse, your partner, your friends, your family, and your community.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I utilize a wide variety of techniques to assist my clients with the issues that confront them including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting, and overall life stressors.

Some of my holistic methods include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, mindfulness stress management, meditation, 12-step programs, assertiveness training, mood management, and anxiety reduction, among others.  

I have more than a decade of experience helping clients build and strengthen their relationships and I specialize in working with clients of diverse backgrounds, including inner-city residents and LGBTQIA. I also have an extensive background working with fathers, couples, and women who suffer from perinatal diagnoses. 

Everyone deserves to feel loved, accepted, content, confident and fulfilled, not only in their relationship with others but also with themselves. And anyone, no matter their life circumstances, can heal, grow and thrive.
